Welcome to Yamato Damashii

Yamato Damashii directly translated means Japanese Spirit.

We are a friendly, family run martial arts club, for adults & children, based in North West Kent and train in traditional Wado Ryu karate.

We train every Saturday morning at Becket Sport Centre and every Wednesday evening at The Leigh Academy. For further details, click here.

If you are interested in joining our club, you can just turn up to one of the classes wearing loose clothing such as t-shirt and jogging bottoms and join in, the first lesson is free.

Parents are welcome to stay and watch.

Beginners are always welcome, we were all beginners once.

Our club is open to all people who want to partake in a club that values and develops discipline, respect and focus. It's a club that encourages personal insights and development as well as teaching self-defence.

Whether an adult or a child, learning karate will teach you discipline, respect, improve your fitness, give you confidence, improve concentration and also teach you a useful new skill.
